I think Susan W. may still have some peacock gudgeons to offer. Susan?? They are gorgeous! They spawned in one of those little pottery caves that Dave Sanford's kids do. I swear I didn't see either of them from Sunday to Wednesday when I saw the female swimming around again and the male popping his head out of the cave occasionally. If they are both out of the cave today, I'll try to net them out and pop them into the planted 10 gallon on the bottom of my 2-tier 10 gallon rack which theoretically leaves the fry to grow up in their own tank. We'll see. Both these tanks have been planted and fish free for months, so I'm hoping there's lots of teeny critters in there for the fry to get started on until they can take larger live food. Dario dario is supposed to be super simple to spawn. The advice I see most often is to take a small bare tank and fill it with java moss, pop in a pair, and remove them in a week or two to another tank...leaving fry to grow up in the first tank. I've heard of folks doing a sequential thing until they have more fry than they know what to do with. Again, we'll see.
