[GSAS-Member] banned aquatic plants at auction

Club:

Our friends at the Washington State Department of Agriculture would like us to
watch for banned aquatic plants at our auction. Please refrain from bringing
listed plants. A list of banned plants will be posted and if something is
found we will send it back home.

Thanks for your cooperation.
-Paul

The Washington State Department of Agriculture prohibits certain invasive
aquatic species from being offered for sale or distributed in our state, in
order to protect our native plant communities and recreation lands from
infestation by escaped ornamentals. The attached list details which species
and the text of our law. We appreciate your cooperation in not offering any of
these plants at your sale. If you have questions, please contact me.

Plant Services Program-
The Plant Services Program provides regulatory inspection of nurseries to
ensure that consumers and the nursery industry are provided healthy, pest-free
and disease-free plant materials; enforces quarantines to prevent pest
introduction; and assures disease-free planting stock. Certification programs
are provided on a voluntary basis for fruit trees, seed potatoes, hops,
grapevines, mint, garlic, caneberries and strawberries.
