Re: [GSAS-Member] Extra male gardneri?

Have you got a population name to go with that gardneri? Mamfense? Jos Plateau?
Rayfield? Misaje? ...

As for females 'bursting' - killies lay a few eggs each day and don't need the
male present to lay them, though the eggs won't be fertile without a male. They
don't work like cichlids or tetras or w.h.y.. You should normally expect to get
a few eggs/day from your typical killie (some lay quite a few - well
conditioned female nothobranchius can easily lay 40+ eggs in a day.) Killies
are 'continuous' spawners when you have a pair, and there's little or no
courtship nor any nest building - find a suitable spot, lay eggs, move on,
repeat, take breaks for eating and what not. They do this throughout their
lifespans.
