Hey everyone, Alright I am coming out with it!: I am having a hell of a time figuring out the proper amounts of ferts to dose my tank. I have been dealing with plants dyeing and different forms of algae for the last few months. My co2 is in the proper range so my assumption is that my nutrients are not correct. I try to do a water change once a week sometimes once every other week. During the water change I dose with the flourish line of macro and trace fertilizers. I roughly dose per their recommendations on the side of the bottle. For the most part, I feel like I am blindly doseing the tank.... not good. I'm not going to lie, I want to make this as easy as possible. I don't want to have to test everything/dose every day. I have been doing a little bit of reading online today and I found this page: http://www.theplantedtank.co.uk/EI.htm (Estimative Index by Tom Burr) which seems to make the dosing schedule a bit easier. This is sort of what I am looking for. The only down side to EI is that it require me to dose _every day_! Is there an easier way? What do you guys do? Thanks for the help in advance.
