Be prepared to wait a *long* time for mangrove plants to grow in an aquarium. I've, *cough*, gotten some from outside my sister's boat dock in FL in the past, and they are the SLOOOOOWEST growing plants I've seen indoors. An inch a year. Maybe. I don't have any now, nor am I going back to FL anytime soon :-( Plus as pointed out they're brackish, which makes for unusual water conditions to keep them - I had them with some brackish killies but eventually gave up. > From: Seattle_Aquarist@comcast.net> To: gsas-member@thekrib.com> Date: Sun, > 27 Apr 2008 08:41:16 -0700> Subject: Re: [GSAS-Member] Mangrove plants> > Hi > Linda,> > > > Sorry, I'm into gardening as well as aquariums but I don't ever > recall> seeing mangrove plants (trees) available in Seattle, probably because > they> are a tropical species.
