Shango: Your point is well taken in that a fish club IMHO should invite speakers from every corner of the hobby to get a global view. At the same time, the members provide knowledge and support to turn an interest into a full fledged addiction. Those that have pick up the planted bug know that there are a lot of factors that determine success and several bizarre practices (like ADDING nitrate!) or bringing home compressed gas cylinders. Talks that dwell on the technical and do not hold the interest outside of the planted folks don't do well. So this is a long way of saying that the newsletter is a great place for a reasoned debate as to modern practices. You will find information in the newsletter archive (http://www.gsas.org/Articles/) or on the vast internets. If you would like an article on ferts, I can try to build something for next month or anyone can post their experiences here. -Paul On Mon, 28 Apr 2008, Shango Los wrote: > I would like to suggest a meeting topic of Intro to Fertilizers for one of > our monthly meetings.
