Re: [GSAS-Member] Am I doing the right thing with Vals?

Thanks Carol. While that sounds counterintuitive, I did just add excel for
the first time last week before the crash. Hmmm...

I don't have any personal experience with either Vals or Excel, but I have
read that certain plants including Vals and Crypts will melt when dosed with
Excel. In doing a google search I see comments both supporting and
disparaging this idea. So don't know how accurate it is.

So, I am curious if Laurel ever got any feedback about her wasting away
Vals. I know we talked about substrate a bit but I too wonder about this
wasting thing that happened. I just lost a big green field of vals that
turned transparent and melted all of a sudden within a week. Is this a
clear sign of a particular ailment or does it descibe a host of possible
issues?

Thanks
Shango
