Shango: There are other available species of Anubias, and other varieties of A. barteri available other than nana, and I believe that all can be rooted on bogwood. I also belive that all are slow-growing and may give you the same algae problem. The only plant I know of that hasn't been mentioned yet is the Bolbitus fern, Bolbitus heudelotti. The FAQ lists it as a low light plant, however, and also that it has large leaves. I don't know if it will grow in high light or not. So it may not fit your criteria. Also supposed to be more picky about water conditions than Java fern. I ordered some last time I got plants, but the place (arizona aquatic gardens) was out. I've since seen it at the Fish Store.
