Thanks a bunch for all the great info Cliff!! It really has been exciting; and I hope you are right about the numbers. Great advice about feeding and housing; should be fun to see how many I end up with. I am looking forward to talking about them at the picnic. I also have a few buckets going on the porch; working on that green food too... And yes, some of these may end up in the mouths of my first Belonesox I confess. They are harder to get than I thought though; and more expensive too, so it may take me a while longer. (If anyone has any recommendations for finding these I would sure love to hear it!) And they are thankfully livebearers by the way (not egg-laying killies - the pike killie is a different fish); the biggest of big fry! Thank goodness, because my eyesight is being seriously strained trying to keep up with these newest little ones! I still have some plants for you by the way Cliff, ready to trade for some shrimp?
