I totally agree, I was just there about 2 weeks ago and those discus 
looked terrible, black color and eroded fins. I couldnt see if they 
were infected but they looked really bad. The tank isn't really set up 
for discus imho. A few months ago there were about 10-15 Exodon 
paradoxus terrorizing the tank, maybe that has something to do with it? 
I dont know the pleco you're talking about but I do know there are at 
least 6 species of pleco in there.
