Darn those jumpers! So sorry Betty. He was big! I do have one blondie that might be close in size, and it makes me want to go home right now and cover my koi tank. I am pretty sure I lost one earlier this year the same way out of the 50 gal stock tank by the way; from playing in a powerhead stream and getting a little too carried away is my guess. Never did find the carcass though; just never saw him again. I figure once he jumped either the cats or the raccoons grabbed him, even from under the net. SO hard to lose a fish that way! The Paradise fish seem to share this penchant for leaping from their digs, and I have lost several of them lately too because of it. Ah well, the tragedies of fishkeeping are hopefully balanced out by the triumphs, and I say getting him to 1 & 3/4 inches in the first place qualifies for that. Keep the rest of yours growing; I remember seeing SEVERAL pretty big ones in your tank! Just THREE WEEKS left... ;+) CHeers, Connie _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
