I looked at the photos for these fish. These AREN'T Dario dario (scarlet Badis)....they are Badis badis. They are much larger than Dario dario and not the pretty scarlet barred color. They are a kinda dull grey brown with some pretty irridescent blue highlights and patterning (at least mine were). I've kept them in the past and they require larger tanks than I like to keep. They are extremely active guppy fry predators and after my female killed my male, I used her for a couple years to keep my Endler's populations in check. Easy fish to keep if somewhat aggressive with con-specifics, at least in my experience. I gave away a pair to a club member (can't remember who but Dave S. was the intermediary) when I got my initial group so don't know what his experience was with these fish.
