Re: [GSAS-Member] Hair Algae (was Excel? Glut?)

I think it was more than I was looking for but it answered my question. If
Glut is a straight chemical which appears in Flourish, I ought to just keep
using Flourish as I am. I thought Glut was some other blended product that
works wonders.

If you see it differently, please advise. I have a hair algae issue in my
two big tanks.

29 gallon tank
Flourish once a week
Flourish tabs in the substrate
4.5 watts per gallon with 2 year old bulbs
I had CO2 running but them took it off and the hair algae actually DECREASED
when I stopped the CO2
Vacuumed 50% water change every Sunday.

The hair algae is breaking out by taking over individual pebbles in the
substrate. It is also on all the technology and the edges of plant leaves.

I have run out of options I am aware of and was hoping this Glut stuff was
another possible solution. I have read the archives and don't see anything
else to try.

Thanks

Shango
