I swear the colors change daily! My favorite is now a very deep burnt orange with irridescent scales. I wish I'd kept more of those but space IS an issue (sigh). It seems like the irridescence starts to show at a specific LENGTH not at a specific AGE since some of the smallest babies I had are now reaching roughly 1 1/2" and starting to show glimmers. My biggest babies have shown that irridescence for a couple months now! Most are a pale blue-grey with some darkness starting to become more well-defined along the dorsal cape. Non-shimmery fish: I have one (my largest) that is STILL pinky-white with just a few pale grey scales near the dorsal. Others are mostly white with black blotches or orange head/white body with black blotches. The mostly black fish I had at the meeting with an orange head is starting to show white blotches within the black. Fun stuff!
