They like to molt after water changes I've noticed. Maybe you've added
something to the water that they need like iodine, or it's been in their
food.

Does anyone know how often cherry shrimp normally molt? I picked up one
of the batches at the auction, and it seems like every time I come down
to look in the tank the gravel is littered with more and more husks. Is
it typical for shrimp to molt en-mass?
Cheers,
Jesse Doerr
