I'm wondering where we can collect local catterpillars or eggs in the
spring. When I was a kid growing up in California, we raised our own
monarchs, painted ladies, anise swallowtails, gulf frittilaries, etc.
The frogs were such a hit with the kids, I want them to see bug
metamorphasis this year. I know there are tiger swallowtails here, so
they must be living off SOMETHING... If there were a good book on native
northwest insects. I suppose there's no fancy entomology club equivalent
to GSAS or the herp society.
