So I was doing a ridiculous bike ride today because of the great weather
-- specifically, I went to A Place For Pets to get crickets. Along the
way, I ran into a brand new store, only 3 weeks old, on Cambridge and
Delridge (17th) in White Center.
The place is called "Aquarist World". It's quite clear that this store
serves a very specific niche of the hobby. There are a zillion tanks,
many of which have only two fish each. I'd say 90% of the fish were
either fancy goldfish, fancy angelfish, bloody parrot cichlids, arrowana
and flowerhorns. There are also some large-ish ponds with koi. They had
a total of three (3) aquatic plants, floating (with pot) singly in three
random tanks.
As you might expect, I took a quick look around, said hi to the owners,
and continued on my journey.
