[GSAS-Member] URGENT: Still need some auction help with local stores

To those who made it to the meeting this week, thanks!  The store signs
seemed to go over very, very well indeed.  Today I took signs to the Petcos
in Factoria and Redmond, and they seemed happy to have us (but alas, no
donations.)

However, I'm noticing a LOT - and I do mean a LOT - of our local stores seem
to either go unmentioned, or are never frequented by our membership.  I'd
like to change that.  I spent an hour with Google, and came up with the list
below of local area aquarium shops (this list may be outdated, but I'm
certain most of the names and locations are correct.)  If you know of any
other ones not on this list, speak up!

Please, if you live near one of these stores, won't you go in, introduce
yourself as a GSAS member, ask them if you can hang a sign in their store
supporting us, and maybe even ask them for a donation of some kind for our
auction?  The stronger we support (and visit!) our local stores, the
stronger they will support us, especially in these dark economic times.
Just this past Tuesday I was speaking with Jonas, the owner of Blue Sierra,
and he said things were mighty terrible for them right now, and have been
for some months, and he's not sure how much longer he can hold out.  Our
community and our hobby can scarcely afford to lose such an enormously
important retailer, so get out there and support your fish store!

Take a look at this list, and if you'd like a sign made up for a store (or
two, or three, or more) near you, just let me know and I'll send email you a
sign that you can print out and hang in their window (color inkjet works
fine, or Kinko's charges about $.50 a color copy.)  Speak up, folks! We
can't make this thing a success without some footwork from you!
