I agree with Scott. I to have found justby turning off the lights, it will go 
away. It may take longer, but it works. But if can cover it all the way, and 
have it in compelte darkness, thats the best. The fish will be fine without 
food for that short of time. As he said they would be dormant. Sleeping more or 
less. With having larger tanks, you find ways like this to take care of 
problems.
