My shrimp don't jump Shango. I've had them in the same tank for 4 years. I
have just small tetra sized rocket killies and an oto. I do water changes
two times a month maybe, or when it gets too much algae. Just a sponge
filter and lots of plants and a big light.
Maybe it's your water, filter or fish chasing them.
Susan

Subject: [GSAS-Member] Jumping Cherry/Yellow Shrimp
Hi All,
Does anyone know why shrimp jump out of a tank? My tanks are all open
topped and there is a pretty slow but steady stream of dried out fellas on
the carpet. There are a TON of shrimp in there so it could be that it is
just the odds that in so many there would be jumpers but if they jump
because of some specific water issue or predator issue, I want to know.
Thanks
Shango
