How big is the tank? Perhaps a smallish but colorful rasbora or tetra? I am a 
big fan of Diamond tetras in a planted tank, they're pretty docile (Moenkhausia 
pitteri and relatives)

 

Did someone really recommend prochilodus? Wow. I've never had one that wasn't a 
fin ripping psychofish except when kept with even bigger bullies.
