Look for reference to 'the Fish Store' in Seattle. I am writing from kenya, but too much work and no time for fish. I am very grateful to Erik for contributing his photographic talents to this effort. Feedback welcome. I only toss in one piece and when that's gone, toss in another. But I have small tanks so putting in a whole bone seems 'too much'. I'm told that they currently have in stock: KNO3 K2SO4 KH2PO4 I understand that the pricing is the same as Green Leaf Aquariums charges online http://www.greenleafaquariums.com/aquarium-fertilizer.html . Just another reason to visit one of our valued "Sponsor Stores" along with their Anniversary Sales Specials this weekend! (Like we need a reason to visit a fish store) This week they have received shipments of Saltwater and Freshwater Fish and plants so they should be well stocked. Don't forget to show your GSAS membership card at "Sponsor Stores" to receive your GSAS discount. I add small pieces in my tank and these are exhausted I add some more. In Seattle area we have soft water and I try to raise GH and KH to 6. Using CaCo3 you will raise both KH and GH. To raise GH you can use also CaCl2, epsom salt and for KH baking soda. I think these is a very interesting article about shrimps: http://www.petshrimp.com/articles/whyshrimpdead.html ------------------------------ Message: 5 Date: Thu, 23 Apr 2009 14:30:03 -0700 From: Kypros Hostetter <Hostetter2003@lawnet.ucla.edu> Subject: Re: [GSAS-Member] Attn: Plantaholics Dry Ferts Available Locally To: Greater Seattle Aquarium Society member chat <gsas-member@thekrib.com> Message-ID: <49F0DDDB.1090405@lawnet.ucla.edu> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed this is great. Its nice to support local stores. And this products may indicate an interest in carrying some of the more specialize planted tank nuts stuff. Roy, are they not selling CSM+B Plantex, though for trace elements? All I know is what they have in currently, CSM+B may not have arrived yet? I suspect if they sell what they have got in, or if enough people request other chemicals, they would be more likely to buy more and add to what they are offering. Hope we see you in May!
