Shango, Sounds like a Garden spider to me. They are an orb-weaver that can get quite large (quarter-size abdomen) and are beautifully colored yellow/black/white. We called them banana spiders back in Illinois and you'd find tons of them in fields in the summer, almost crashing right into their webs but stopping just in time to avoid a nice spider brooch. Of course the ones in Illinois got bigger than the ones here. If you're able to find an egg sac near the webs, I'd love some garden spiders in my garden. I bring orb-weavers into my kitchen to take care of the fruit flies/house flies as needed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argiope_aurantia Kat Hentsch _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail® has ever-growing storage!
