try Zaire or Mpimbwe Frontosa, you can put a colony of em in there...males get to 12-14" and females 6-8", and still put others tankmates with em. Congrats on you new tank and welcome to the 200gal club! I have a 6ft 225 gallon tank and have about 35 fishes in that tank GoBlueCichlids www.wolverinecichlids.com ________________________________ From: "Doerr, Jesse" <Jesse.Doerr@fei.com> To: Greater Seattle Aquarium Society member chat <gsas-member@thekrib.com> Sent: Tue, October 13, 2009 10:53:44 AM Subject: [GSAS-Member] Big Tank Suggestions Good morning, I'm looking for some suggestions on what I could stock my new tank with. It's a 6 ft 250 Gal tank with a 50 Gal sump. Currently, it's empty and needs some more final work to get the plumbing and stand finished, but it's looking good for this winter. I've been tossing back and forth whether I would prefer a few big fish or a lot of small/medium sized fish. I've decided that I'd prefer to keep some larger stock in this one. So, what I'm hoping for is some suggestions of larger size fish that would make an interesting display. I'm picturing something in the 8" - 16" range and hopefully with some schooling behavior. Shapes and colors would be nice too. I'm not really looking to breed anything, just display. It would be best if they can survive on their own for a few days at a time without maintenance too. Thanks for your input!
