Geeez, you'd think tinfoil barbs were like pirhana. And I wouldn't exactly equate them to tigerbarbs as well. I've kept all three, and while it is true tinfoils are quick to the food, I have never had them nip fins on a regular basis or tear a fish apart like a pirhana. Tinfoils have no significant mandibular teeth, mainly pharyngeal. They are actually kept as dither fish in many cases. If one decides to keep tinfoils I only suggest that tankmates be chosen which at least approach their size, are not shy and retiring (can hold their ground against a curious, mouthy fish ) and can hold their own during feeding time.
