In Ohio Stingrays were the in-thing in Columbus: Aquarium Adventures they had custom built tank basically sitting in the middle of the store on the floor. The tank was about 3 feet high and open-topped. Me and D were doing the grand tour of the store and the stingrays kept following us around. They were getting more and more excited, popping up to the top of the tank, over and over. We were getting progressively more nervous as they peeked above the top of the tank. Finally we flagged down a staff member, for fear the stingrays were going to make a break for it. The staff gal explained that my ever-present iced mocha looked like their food container: Pavlov's rays. m > From: jeff@gotperk.com > To: gsas-member@thekrib.com > Date: Wed, 11 Nov 2009 17:21:48 -0800 > Subject: [GSAS-Member] AH Supply 4x96 Bright Kit Versus Aquticlife T5 High > Output 72" Lighting System > > Thanks for a great meeting and auction last night; I have a 6' long 125g > planted tank which I have been lighting with two GE "Plant and Aquarium" > bulbs for about a year now; The plants do ok but I want better; Algae growth > has been controlled by switching to a ten hour light cycle (when I had four > 48" bulbs in the tank the algae was out of control ie entire bottom of > aquarium had thick dark green algae); My question is this: Are the AH supply > setups that much better than say the aquaticlife or marineland setups?
