Lighting System
[ Part 2.2: "Attached Text" ]
Hi All,
I thought I'd chime in on the AH discussion...
I have an AH setup: a single 96w bulb over a 50G tank and it pushes a lot
of light! But like a lot of you I'm considering
upgrading- maybe putting a second bulb in my setup.. I'm thinking maybe
I'll put a few t8s in there.
If your not to handy you can even buy a wood box that you can install the
bulbs into... Check this out:
http://www.ahsupply.com/finished_enclosures.htm [www.ahsupply.com]. The
electrical wiring wasn't to hard....
The only bad thing I have to say about AH setups is that I have had a hard
time finding replacement bulbs locally (96 watt,
34.1", 6700k, 4 ping square, bulb). I called all around and the only
place that was selling them was the fish store on
Roosevelt (and they were selling it for twice as much as AHsupply)!!! I
just don't like the idea of having to have a bulb
shipped in from NY when it blows out. AHsupply are good people though, I
just had a defective bulb (it lasted about 3 weeks)
and they are sending me out a replacement at no cost.
Later,
Berg
