The only Dario dario I had that I thought was probably female didn't have
those electric blue-white lines on the front of the pelvic fin. She also
did not have any obvious red coloration. There are those who say that
females can have red barring or spotting and that larvae have been
produced from pairs that both have red, but those folks didn't mention
whether both had that blue-white line on the pelvics.
