John (& Co)--
I've been thinking about CO2 also lately--what with new plants and new
lights coming--and came back to read this thread again.
What did you decide on?
The no-solenoid approach also sounds good to me, I want something that is as
simple as possible and very safe for the sake of the fish. I am not trying
to win any awards, just give the plants a boost, so I don't need a system
that I can push to the edge. I definitely don't want to be fooling around
with it every day.
My list of candidate parts is short since I just started research, but I was
thinking about something like the Rex regulator
kit<%20http://www.bestaquariumregulator.com/CO2.html>,
without the solenoid, and with the high-end needle valve. Plus some sort of
diffuser/bubble counter combo
unit<http://www.greenleafaquariums.com/co2-diffusers/diffuser-spiro-900.html>,
and one of those drop checker CO2
meters<http://www.aquariumslife.com/aquascaping/fertilizers-and-co2/drop-checke/>.
