[GSAS-Member] GSAS HAP "Mystery Plant"; January '10

Hi All,

We had such excellent participation and positive feedback from last month's
GSAS Horticulture Awards Program (HAP) contest that I decided to do it again
for January. This contest is for current GSAS HAP program participates
only! (BTW, you can participate in this contest if you get me you a
completed HAP form and your guess by Sunday night; 01/10/10.)

Below is a picture of another foreground plant that I have not seen offered
by a club member. I had it shipped in from out of state, and it made it in
good shape in spite of the fact that it was traveling during our very cold
December weather.

Here are a couple of hints: It is one of the smallest of its species and
due to its leaf size, especially submerged, it needs bright light. To give
you an idea of the size, I placed a quarter next to it; it is planted in my
tank with Turface size substrate.

I have only one small "starter portion" available and it will be awarded at
our GSAS Meeting on January 12th; you must be at the meeting to receive your
prize! If you think you know what it is, e-mail me your guess. The first
correct guess by a GSAS HAP participant wins! One guess only per HAP
Participant please! My e-mail address is Seattle_Aquarist@Comcast.net.
Good Luck!

Roy
