Turn off all of your lights. Cover the tank for 3-5 days (depending on the severity of outbreak) with something that does not allow in ANY light. Leave it alone. Do not uncover to check on it. Do not bother to feed the fish, they'll be fine for that period of time. After 3-5 days, uncover and it should be fine. It works great on my 150g when I have a bad outbreak. I never add anything to the water for treating Cyanobacteria.
