Re: [GSAS-Member] Nitrogen Cycle - a slow start?

If you have had fish in there for a couple of weeks and have even added
filter media from an established tank, your cycle should be well under way.

Every time I do a new tank, which isn't often, I seed with old material the
same way and immediately add fish--not a ton, just a fraction of the final
load. Then I build up. I have never had problems with ammonia or cloudy
water which would indicate an incomplete cycle.

I would believe your test kits.

Good luck,
MS
