This sounds good to me.  I tend to spend lots more time in fish stores and
working on my tank during the winter when its raining, since when its nice
(FINALLY!) I have outdoor hobbies to do.  I suspect that there are a number
of people who have a similar pattern, and that if we do promote this thing
through fish stores we will reach more people by holding it in the winter.
The only caveat I can think of with that date is that many people are trying
to get ready for Christmas, and may not have too much time to spend on their
tanks.  What about pushing the dates up or moving them back a month?
