The issue of paludariums has come up - I'd love to see some good ones. But for our first attempt, again I suggest that we stick with tanks which are full of water - I'm not interested in turning this into a Herp Show. But while on the subject.... it might be an idea for next year.... What about a brackish tank which is aquascaped with at least some live plants? I don't like the idea of any tank containing plastic plants as being acceptable in a contest/showcase approved by the AGA. Get real folks. This just does not fly with me. Fantasy tanks would be fine - not every garden has to have a white picket fence and if some aquascaper wants to put in a plastic mermaid, who am I to tell him its tacky? (I'll leave that to the judges...). but the plants have to be real plants. (I'm not suggesting that we give a list of approves/prohibited plants - just state that the aquascape should consist of living plants.) ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@aquatic-gardeners.org with "unsubscribe aga-contest" in the body of the message.
