I've been quiet for a while, trying to sort out what is going on here, and because since I'm not a member of the AGA, I feel I may not be as well received as I would be if I were a member. HOWEVER I agree with Ken when he said: <<Let people send any damned thing they want. We will showcase it on the website. Plus, there will be a competition that will be judged by a group of people who will decide what THEY consider to be the best EXAMPLES of current aquascaping. Prizes would be nice, but recognition would be more than enough to get an acceptable number of entrants. I would like to think that the AGA will be with us regardless of what is included in this showcase. If the judges just happened to think that a plastic showcase is the best example of current aquascaping (highly unlikely), then I think it might possibly be an eye-opener for AGA members. They (we) could learn from this thing too. I say include all, emphasize some.>> So far as I can tell, this is the first time anyone has tried to have anything like this. I think that it is more important to get participants than it is to refine the process right away. What is the point of having a lot of rules if there are only 3 entries? Next year, we can build on what we learned this year. I say open the flood gates. Let the entries come in, possibly dividing them into categories.
