NOTE: This is a serious post, but it is not intended to tick _anyone_ off.... Making this overly complicated, for either ourselves or the people we hope will submit entries is the last thing that I want to do. But I freely admit that in this "Contest" discussion I'm flying blind, and based upon the comments I got from most of the people who volunteered to act as "mock judges", I'm not alone. My background as a government bureaucrat makes me very "detail oriented" (or is it the other way around?). When faced with a situation I am unfamiliar with, my natural inclination is to "sweat the details". If that makes anyone uncomfortable, sorry - it's just the way things are. Now, if there is _anyone_ here who feels that they can take the "Contest" portion and work out the details themselves and then present it back to the group as a simple scenario - I'm open to the offer, no offense intended or taken. I am just starting to feel really uncomfortable dealing with this "Contest" discussion. I do not want it to degenerate any further. The only other alternative that I can see is to ditch the Contest portion of the event altogether, at least for this year. The Showcase has no need for "rules" or even many "guidelines" - we display what people send us, end of story. If its simple you want.....
