Ranking vs. Scoring

I really like Karen's method better, however, what about aquascapers like
me?  I really doubt that I'm gonna place in this contest, but I would still
like to know where I stand in relation to all of the other mediocre
aquascapes.  Are we just going to make people judge their place for
themselves if they're not in the top three?  Maybe I'm missing something?
