OK, how about throwing another wrench into the works:

Erik brings up a good point about "micro" tanks, while Jennifer points out
another reasonable approach. I'm inclined to go with some of both issues.

I think that everyone would agree that "micros" present definite space
restrictions. The possibilities for 'scaping open up somewhat with slightly
larger tanks, but length aside I would have to say, upon further reflection,
that front-to-back depth would be more of a breakpoint. It's not until you
reach at least 18 inches (the 75s or so) in depth that space utilization and
size contrast / balance become more effective, allowing for more influence
along the lines of changing fields-of-view and the like. So how does

Small: 15-gal and under
Medium: less than 75
Large: 75 and greater

sound to anyone?
