Just about every time I sign up for something on the Net (e.g., software,
ISP, POP mail, , etc.), I have to indicate that I agree with their
guidelines/policies/regulations/rules, etc.  That usually takes the form of
a radio button indicating a "yes" or "no" after the guidelines/etc. are
shown.

Couldn't we have a set of guidelines/etc. drawn up that would legally cover
us on things like copyrights/etc. It sure would be easier than requiring
things like releases.
