FWIW, I agree 100% with James' message.  Everything's going to be subject
to the fancy and judgement of who edits the list!  It's a showcase, not a
link farm.  If someone asked me to add a link to their page specifically
on the showcase site, I would say "Enter the Showcase!  There's a place
where you can put your page!" (the personal-page equivalent to the
commercial "Donate a Prize!  There's a place where you can put your page!"
response.)
