I have absolutely no idea who created the Aponogeton drawing.  It might
have been the logo of the previous incarnation of the organization (The
"American Aquatic Gardeners Association").  There's a preliminary
version of the drawing on the replica of Volume 1, Number 1 of the
AAGA publication.

Neil probably knows who it is.
