Regarding my comments about rosettes/ribbons - perhaps what I should have
said that since I'm totally unfamiliar with "convention", I don't feel any
real need to slavisly follow it. As in most things around here, if someone
has a new or innovative idea that flies in the face of the established way
things have always been done, I'm open to it..... I certainly didn't mean to
have anyone think that I'm belittling contests in general, or those with
knowledge of them.

As it is, the rosette suggestion from Karen (Hampshire) will make a much
"classier" award than any of the ones I initially thought of, so I think
that the lucky winners might just want to run out and have them mounted and
framed for permanent display.
