RE: AGA CONTEST - Digest V1 #479

Dave,

"James, Diana Lum did the donation solicitation for the convention/contest
last year. I am sure she has copious notes on how it went. I will copy
her on this mail and hopefully she will get back to someone
(you? Erik? ???) soon with what she has in the way of notes and comments
based on last year."

That would be great, thanks. I think it would be very helpful to be able to
see which companies supported up in both years and how the support in each
year might have differed. I know that there were many companies I contacted
in 2000 that never got back to me - maybe a new approach is needed in some
cases. It might also pay to be "nicer" to those companies that have
consistently supported the AGA and its various events and see if new
aliances and bridges can be built to others in order to gain their trust and
support. I know that the independence of the the AGA from commercial
association is important and must be maintained, but "friendly ties" can be
maintained on many levels and can be of great benefit to our goals.
