[AGA-Contest] nice words from Jeff Senske

Don't let this affect the judging of his tanks, though. :)

Erik,
AWESOME! I could not agree more that the 5 photo deal is a key part of the
AGA Contest. The single photo scenario has actually kept me out of the ADA
Contest because it is simply impossible to show something like a
two-sided/four-sided room-divider type aquascape in one shot. I really
appreciate the AGA Contest and heartfully applaud your efforts to get it out
there. Thanks Erik! - jeff.

No, I definitely don't need individual prints. I wanted to be able to
present "our" contest to Amano in the best possible way, so I worked until
1 AM Thursday writing up a program to arrange the five photos on a single
page, with the main photo full width & the other photos below it 1/4 size,
and the entry number, title and volume below the main photo. I really
think one of the strengths of the AGA contest has been the multiple photos
and accompanying text. Karen was telling me that in the ADA thing, they
just get a single 4x6 print to judge. So this is working out quite
nicely. The other thing I've learned is that when printing lots of
aquascapes, stock up on yellow ink -- I ran out with only 20 left to print
& had to make a run to the camera store this morning. One of your entries
(being very large -- near the end) just printed out, and it looks quite
smashing.

See you in November,

   - Erik

Erik,
Hey! do you need prints? I can do hardcopies of mine and overnight them if
you need them. I'm really excited about Amano judging and don't want to
miss the opportunity for him to see the work. Let me know. Thanks! -jeff

Dear AGA Aquascaping Contest Participant,

This is your long-awaited auto-generated e-mail to let you know that
your entry is now COMPLETE (Fee/Release/Entry)!

It was probably complete several days ago, but I've been horribly busy
getting everything ready for the judges. As you may know, we have had
a tenative commitment from Mr. Amano to judge our contest this year,
and I learned yesterday that he has some special
requirements...hardcopy printouts of every photograph! So I've been
scrambling to find a way to get these, and my photo inkjet working
overtime to create them. Tomorrow, the heavy stack of photos gets
overnighted to Japan. Meanwhile, your remaining three Internet-saavy
judges are now hard at work scrutinizing your entry.

Thought that as long as I was wasting your time sending you a
confirmation e-mail, you might as well get some bonus news. :) Hope to
see you live at the awards banquet at the AGA Convention in November,
or if you can't be there, at http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org the
same weekend for the announcements.

 - Erik
