Like last year, I'm going to start listing the current
"possible entries

very good today,
as I just finished typing in the entries for the two
folks who've entered
through the mail so far this year... again, remember that
in 2003 &
earlier, we only had 60-70 entries total. Last year we
had about 120.
One curious phenomenon. As folks are starting to send
their photo release
forms, several have decided that scanning in a generic
signature and
"pasting" it into a word or jpeg file of the release form
is OK.
Sigh. I am not sure why anyone thinks this counts as
signing a document.
I have attempted to make things easier by adding a
special photo release
only page, and linking to it in 15 places throughout the
website. Maybe
people don't have access to a scanner & don't understand
that they can
take a digital picture of it in lieu of scanning or
faxing (but how'd they
scan their signature?). Maybe one of the folks will send
me an angry
letter that they "don't do printers". Stay tuned.
