Re: [AGA-Contest] winners email list

I think the ribbons are an important part of winning. Photographing a check with a note that it was for a contest isn't the same as being able to put a Ribbon on the mantle or in a scrap book. I think more folks write in asking about the ribbons, if they don't arrive right away, than write in about the money. And traditionally, the AGA Contests gives ribbons. The addresses should have been included in the entries and the postal costs can be calculated on line at usps.com.

Erik might have a contact number or address for companies used in the past but you can probably find ribbon vendors on line.
You've probably seen ribbons from prior years so know what sort of thing is appropriate. If you contact me with the invoice I can send a check out to pay the vendor or to reimburse. It usually takes about 3-5 business days for the check to arrive.

Did we want to send ribbons out?  If people are satisfied with the cash prizes, I'd prefer not to have to go through the hassle of trying to find somewhere to get the ribbons and then trying to locate the winners to send the ribbons.  Of course, if I placed, I'd like to have something as a memento.  What is everyone's thought on the ribbons?

Thanks for taking care of the award Scott!  Thanks to everyone for a successful contest this year and I look forward to helping out again next year in whatever capacity you guys would like for me.

For each payment, I included the person's name in the message subject along with the notation "AGA 2007 Aquascaping Contest". In the message, I mentioned the award category (e.g., 2nd Place, Small Category) and congratulations.
