Hey, folks.

I am finally back on-line.  I am slowly catching up with my 400+ email
messages, so please be patient.

With regards to the idea that new members get a welcome postcard, I'm
not enthusiastic about implementing it myself, mainly because of
workload issues.  I am just now getting comfortable with membership
duties (and my new computer setup!), so maybe I'll be able to do it
soon.

How about I send a listing of new and renewed members to someone
assigned to coordinate volunteer activity, and they send out a welcome
packet (maybe with a planted tank guide, or even manufacturer freebies)
along with a follow-up on the member's willingness to assist with
volunteer activities?
