While I spent the weekend with him, he enlisted the help of a local grad student who is also a friend. His tentative plan follows. The only big issue is tax status. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We would have an order form that would be on the AGA web site and also in TAG. The form would list the plants that we have/can get, their prices, and the other aspects of the deal. I think that we should have a closing date for each, say the 15th of the month. Any orders received by then would be shipped that month -- any after that date would go to the next month. Depending on the volume we get we could do it every other month. ONE THING -- Do you think that FAN could package each order separately. It would make it much easier on this side, and I'm not sure it would be all that much more work for them. If it is too much work, then maybe we could pay them a little more. That way the plants get handled even less -- FAN packs each order separately, puts them in one box and ships them to me. I would then be able to simply take each order, do whatever is needed, and send them on to the orderers. Can you ask FAN, or hand me off to whomever I would be dealing with there. The one thing I cannot do is the paperwork for sales tax etc. Can't we get around this simply by not collecting any sales tax??? Can you get me the list of plants from FAN so I can begin to make up the database. As for how much AGA makes we can cover the cost of shipping from FAN to me by figuring out how much it cost and simply adding it to the individual plant cost. Over this I think we should add something like 15% with a minimum of $3 -- $5 ------------------------------------------------------------------ >
