Because I get the digest form of the AGA-MC, I was not able to keep up with the fast moving conversation....I happened to look at the web this morning and I was happy to see that we have the following votes: Merrill - YES Erik - YES Karen - YES (speaker) David - YES (speaker) Neil - YES (speaker) Dorothy - YES (provided that she does not get snowed in <g>) Paul - YES (speaker, provided no final exams) Jack - YES BOB - Yes (his only stated conflict was 10/15... so I will assume Nov is OK) Since we have all the SC and responses from almost the entire MC, I will tell Charlene (also speaker) that it is a go. [Nice to see that we can make a QUICK decision]. I suggest that the next step is to prepare the first general annoucement(s) for APD, AGA mailout, other email lists... to identify all our potential speakers (after we hear from all the AGA-MC and after contacting other targeted AGA members (who? George? anyone else?) and then choose (nice to be in that possition) ... then decide on number of speakers and specific AGA/TNAQ 2000 activities for subsequent ads. I will look to Charlene for spearheading this "committee." I have cc'd Diana just in case she is not receiving AGA-MCM. I agree with Karen that she would be a wonderful speaker and excellent draw with her new book.
