Re: AGA Bookstore reply

> Dear AGAers,

This is in response to my earlier letter about the bookstore. Erik, I
think what
you put on the web page is very funny. It's perfect by me!
As to the CD-ROMs, hey, I never thought to use them as coasters. Not a bad
idea.

***I have been selling to non-members all along, because that was what Dave was
doing.
What I did was use the old website formula (where non-members pay an extra $5)
when I
asked Mary to update the TAG bookstore page. Now I see that Dave must have
made the
non-member offering on the website but not in TAG. That makes sense since most
people
that get TAG are already members. Except for making the non-member offer in
TAG, I just
went along with what he was doing. Thus, if the AGA stops selling to
non-members it will
be changing the policy that Dave operated on and which I have followed.
Since we've been selling to non-members all along, my work load would not
be increased
whatever the AGA decides. However, once again, I would advocate that we
promote aquatic
plants by making these books available to non-members.
Paul, I must say I appreciate your concern for the workload being too much!
 Thanks.

Diana
